Hello, another newbie here :wave:My name is Lauren, feel free to call me Loz :)
I've been having a look on the forum for over a year now and finally decided that I should join in since I'm always looking to meet some fellow minded people (think I've bored my friends half to death by now with bird talk) :lol:

I have 3 cockatiels who I have shared my life with for just over 11 years now, it has gone by so quick it's crazy to think about.
Pepsi and Max (around age 13) and their daughter Star (age 11). We are also adopting another tiel on Monday, who is about 2 years old so it will be nice to bring a new member into the family.

Hi Loz and Welcome to the forum.

I love the photos they are all great Tiels. I also love the names of Pepsi & Max. Beinf a type 2 diabetic I am supposed to stay away from sugar and that is what I drink a lot.

I look forward to seeing a pic of the addition you will soon be getting, have you decided on a name for it yet or has it already got one?

Hehe yes, as soon as I thought of the names they stuck. Have a sweet tooth myself so I couldn't resist XD
The new guy is called Chief, I was debating on a name change but my fiance fell in love with him so the name stays. I've already bought a load of lovely new toys and perches, it will be the first time he's been on a natural perch so I hope he will settle in nicely over the next few weeks.

I'm glad to know they look very happy in the photos, they are probably the most chilled out birds I've ever known and not hugely interested in human interaction other than asking for some treats but that's fine with me. As long as they are happy and healthy I'm content :)

Chief arrived yesterday safe and sound, he came to us labeled as a screamer but that couldn't be further from the truth. He had a nice sing and a run about while he checked out the room.

He only had a single perch in the cage so we added one of the smaller perches we have and he rushed to sit on it, must have felt much more comfortable XD He settled in quickly, all fluffed up and grinding his beak happily which I am glad to see.

This morning he was a little quiet so I've had some youtube on for him to listen to and he has a lovely voice with some very clear mimicking :)
I have just bought him a new cage which should be here next week, it is much bigger than the current one with lots of room for climbing and playing, and he seems to have gotten used to the dogs now which is great since they like to lounge around with me while I work in the office.
So happy to have him home and settled and I hope you don't mind all of the pictures :tmnt:
