I know you need to be careful about what you use in your home that contains chemicals, so I was curious to know what you all use to clean your cages?
 
What I did was bought the F10 1 litre trigger spray (first one I suggested) and when it ran out I the got the concented one (the second one I suggested) and made up it in that spray bottle.
 
I make up a spray bottle of either distilled water and F10 (not the one with detergent in it as I don't rinse), or distilled water and a dollop of apple cider vinegar (I clean the floors with water and vinegar too), or distilled water and a teaspoon of Young Living Thieves cleaner which is non toxic. I spray the liquid on kitchen towel and wipe down the bars every night. I also used to steam clean once a week but never seem to have time these days.
 
I am a lazy bugger and use anything that is ready made if possible. I use 'poop off' for the basic clean and spray it onto a cloth to wipe, then I spray onto a tooth brush to get into the awkward pieces. Then I use F10 wipes and wipe everything more or less again. I will also often spray a cloth with made up F10 to wipe again and that part of wiping the cage is very quick. The only part of the cages that are not 100% is the bottom tray. But that is covered by the grill anyway and impossible for the birds to get to. Its not rusty or anything but just where paper might be stuck on.
 
We layer our cage with 7 sheets of paper, each day I remove a sheet. Once all 7 sheets are removed, it's time to give the cages a deep clean with a F10/water mix as per instructions on the bottle. I use a spray bottle to apply and a new unused nail brush (solely for the purpose of cleaning the cage which I reuse) to brush off the dirt.

Once a year in springs/summer when the weather is warmer to allow the cages to fully dry out , I take the cages into the shower (or you can use a pressure washer) to give the cages a really good clean.

You can also use poop off which is handy for your furniture and carpet, and can also be used for stubborn poop stains. I also use vinegar on the poop on any hard flooring around the home (not inside the cage)

I use kitchen roll placed on the outside skirts and then spray with Poop Off until wet, leave for several minutes and hardened poop comes clean away.

A kitchen dish brush covered with a damp cloth, then sprayed with Poop Off is an ideal way for having a go at inside bars and even rough perches.
