Has anyone noticed a change? Just went on their website and its all new, but I tried to do an order by creating an account. It wont let me create an account because it says my email address is already registered, but when i click forgot password ( i dont have one that im aware of?) the page dont work?

Also,  are they not doing it anymore so you order and pay later?

Many stopped using them after the latest price increase, me included - so I haven't been to their website - maybe someone still using them will be able to help (think Nikki was going to stick with them).

I stuck with them sj as mine do so well on it ....must say the inflation is quite substantial though!!!

I am sticking with them as well though I suspect Nikki is using more than the 2 small scoops a day Edwin has

TBH I have to be careful with what I give the Eclectus and the Tidymix parrot mix and soaking pulses are ideal for him.

I also had the same issues with the website as Sarah-Jane so must be a glitch in the new website.

I've stopped using them, I do have some here that I got while waiting for my Scarlett's order to come, this lot wouldn't touch it, only the wee girls ate it.

I've also noticed that it's not all husked anyway!

I now use Avian Soecific from Scarlett's

Hi Sarah

Sorry you have experienced some problems with the website - this has now been resolved however if you have ever used your email address on the site before the problem has been fixed it will still block you. If you contact me I can reset up your account for you and email you your details.

The website does require payment at the point of ordering - however everyone who has a Tidymix account can still order and have 28 days to pay for their items by placing your order via email ; [email protected] or by telephoning us on 01273 512 811

Unfortunately I have only just noticed your post whilst completing a google search  - so apologies for the lack of a response to your question.

Regards

Andy

Hi Guys

Unfortunately I have only just stumbled across members posts whilst completing a random google search so apologies for not adding any insight at the time.

Price increases are always unwelcome especially when we are more than aware of how challenging times are and how much of a struggle it can be for our customers in the current economic climate.

When we needed to raise our prices in June 2013 this was the first increase passed on to our customers since 2011 and we have held these prices to 2015.

The direct challenge we faced was the ingredients we use in our diets. Because we source our ingredients mainly from the human food chain we are especially susceptible to volatile food trade markets which saw the cost of some ingredients rise by over 100%.

We could have reduced the quantities of more expensive ingredients in each mix or we could have sought lower grade ingredients to keep prices at 2011 levels however we did not feel this was the type of diet we wish to provide to our customers and their birds.

Since we increased our prices in 2013 we have continued to seek out new ways of making our business more efficient enabling us to hold our prices static for our customers. Our growth has also ensured we can  seek out better deals with our suppliers allowing us to continue to support parrot charities and organisations where possible. One such worthwhile organisation is The Parrot Club whose members can still get a 10% discount on our complete range until 30th September.

Still great mixes and good prices with excellent delivery, cannot get better and my parrots love it.

I find the new website easy to use and have ordered several times from it.

When I tried to order only 500g (or was it 50g?) of banana chips from Tidymix they added £1 extra onto postage because I live in the Highlands, I think this is really pushing it, so will not use.

I think a lot of places have to pay more for deliveries to Highlands and Islands etc though.

I stlll use it, mine are doing really well on it, I add some Harrisons High Potency Fine pellets on top.

Seems to suit both Greys and Senegals, and the Budgie loves his mix too.

I'm still using Tidymix. As I already posted I am very careful what I fed the Eclectus when it comes to seed mixes and Edwin thrives on it.

Yes Diana, that is always what I am told - but  Royal Mail is the same price everywhere and 500g?  I have just had delivered today a 2kg at standard postage price, it gets me so cross. There is far too much of this scamming going on.

No Kim, it says that on the site but when you put in the postcode it slaps another £1 on.  I am fully aware of the charges we have to pay because of the remoteness. Several on line sales are playing this trick, I have asked if RM postage to the Highlands has to be stronger packed so weighs more or if the postman expects a bit extra for the long walk, (strangely enough they do have vans these days)  but they do not answer.

Sorry, but this really irrates me and everyone comes up with the same pathetic excuse as if all Highlanders have a mental age of 5.
