Hi guys. My names Emma and ive joined the forum for sad reasons due to looking for advice on my poorly parrot Zazu who we lost this week. Unknown reason :-(  i have a one year old pug cross dog,3 ferrets, 2 rats 2 degus and a blind chipmunk. No other birds at the moment but im very keen on adopting / buying in next few months once i have gotten over my loss. Im from Northumberland. Nice to meet u all x 
 
Hi, nice to meet you too. Hope you will be more successful next time, birds are all good at hiding illness I'm afraid but all we can do is our best for them.

Hello and :welcome:  from me. I am sure you will again have another parrot when the time is right you will know. I am soo soo sorry for your loss - and as the others have said parrots do hide their illnesses very very well .. You are in the right place here as everyone is lovely and understanding and helpful - welcome to our crazy parrot loving forum :)

I think I missed your intro! I`m really sorry about that and so sorry about Zazu. Having lost birds ourselves I know just how you feel.

The thing is, no matter what you do you always blame yourself and think if only you`d done the opposite!

Max passed away in the vets and we wonder if we should have brought him home, Molly passed away in our arms as we were going to take her to the vets and we wish we`d got there sooner.

The outcome would most likely have been the same regardless, bt you still punish yourself for it xx
 
Aww so sorry to hear about your babies. :-( How sad. I think no matter how it happens its heartbreaking xx
