Our tropical bird land visit

beautiful photos!! i can’t wait to go again! i keep bugging my family to come with me and drive me there 😂 going to have to wait a couple weeks then definitely going back! that little sun conure is adorable!! i remember that one preened my face hahah! the ‘too is such a cutie too! i love it there! made me so excited to go back!!

Haha the sun conure is very smart, she gets carried round the whole place on a person's shoulder then flys back to the reception for another go round! She made me laugh!
The 'too was beautiful, very sweet little boy! Although my boyfriend approached to tell me they'd brought hugo the black 'too out and the one i was cuddling went to bite my boyfriend haha, we have a ladies bird on our hands there! Very sweet boy i wanted to bring him home!

I just wish i lived closer and id be there regularly!

They had four galah's out yesterday, i didn't manage to hold one but my boyfriend did. He held the girl who is a free flighted bird and she was lovely, but i was cuddling tallulah so couldn't enjoy the galah!
The black 'too is called Hugo, i got to hold him for around one minute and they took him back off me, they had him at the entrance and was letting everyone hold him when waiting to go in. He was beautiful!
Yeah a little boy tried to pick a grey up and the grey bit him, i felt bad for him but luckily his dad didn't blame the bird and told the little boy off for trying to pick a bird up without any help from an adult. The little boy then decided he didn't like birds and wanted to go home haha! I had hold of pebbles at the time and pebbles jumped onto him and made him happier again!

I bet you felt guilty haha! Not your fault tho! Im an hour and 40 away so it's not the worst just a long day to get there early but worth the drive.

Hello! It was a lovely place and the birds were lovely. We booked for 11am and they let us in at 20 to 11, im glad we went early because it was quiet. We left around 2pm and it was picking up getting busy at that time.
They're operating a one way system so we went round then wanted to use the toilet so had to go to the toilet in the car park then come back in and work our way round again which we didn't complain because we went round twice haha!

Some people didn't understand the concept of social distancing and it's your personal choice to wear a mask or not, we waited for a decent space before moving into a space others were standing however some people just didn't care and stood right alongside you at the averies which was a shame. The open bird bit was a nightmare in the afternoon as everybody wanted to hold every bird and youd never have thought we had social distancing going on. In the morning though it was great and all people obeyed distances and waited their turn patiently.

They have a cafe and seating area where you can buy food or take your own and we had two B&G's fly over to us here and sat on the table haha!

They do sell you a bag of nuts for £1.50 but i didn't feed them due to knowing about nuts in shells, all birds came to me without a treat and same with my boyfriend. The hyacinth however managed to find the bag in my boyfriend's pocket and there was a battle to get this off her which i believe is in a photo haha!
I really enjoyed it and would return without a doubt 😊

Thanks for the great info. I really appreciate it 😊x

Yes hun right at the end!
I went to bird world in Surrey a couple of years ago , it was the first time my partner saw a bleeding heart dove , u should have seen her face she was going to ask for help as she fought it was badly injured 🤣🤣🤣

We went there to Bird World many years ago when they had not long opened they had free flying Hyacynths back then as well as their B&Gs etc. It was just wonderful. Also attended hand rearing and other courses too back in the day. I guess over the years it has changed.
