Email them Suzanne, they should not be charging you more than it says on the website.

Yes it is Yodel that delivers it Tascha, sorry you have had problems Suzanne, like the others say drop Andy an email, I have never had trouble with them and wouldn't use anything else, my lot all eat it and enjoy it x

I guess it what the carrier charges for certain post codes? :dntknw:

No Kim, it says that on the site but when you put in the postcode it slaps another £1 on.  I am fully aware of the charges we have to pay because of the remoteness. Several on line sales are playing this trick, I have asked if RM postage to the Highlands has to be stronger packed so weighs more or if the postman expects a bit extra for the long walk, (strangely enough they do have vans these days)  but they do not answer.

Sorry, but this really irrates me and everyone comes up with the same pathetic excuse as if all Highlanders have a mental age of 5.
Hi Suzanne

Thank you for your feedback with the postal experience you had when ordering through our website.

I have been on our website this morning to test purchase some products for addresses in the Highlands and Islands to see if I had the same problem you experienced with additional charges being applied to orders weighing up to 1kg. Unfortunately none of the Highlands and Islands locations I tested charged me above the £3.80 which is stated within our delivery prices. However I am very keen to investigate this further and ask you to email me your name and postcode which will allow me to retrieve your account details and order history from our database. My email address is [email protected]

I do empathise with your frustration with deliveries to more remote locations such as the Highlands and Islands. This was a problem which was aired on Watchdog a few months back. Ann Robinson looked at several courier companies who each had their own definition of remote Highland and Island areas and charged varying amounts for the same address. We obviously experience additional costs by sending parcels to addresses in the Highlands and Islands however we have limited how much of these costs we actually pass on to our customers.

I hope you are afforded the courtesy of a reply Andy.
Good Evening Kim

Thank you for your post.

Unfortunately I have not had a reply as yet but I will check my emails again when back in the warehouse tomorrow.

I did manage to speak to our website engineer this afternoon and he informed me the delivery charges are built into website and he would have needed to change the programme which would then affect all Highland and Island postcodes.

Ultimately my aim is to ensure every customer can order through our website with confidence the correct delivery charges are applied.

Andy
