Cages, Rooms, Avaries

Just wondering if anyone would be happy to share what their birds homes (cages), rooms, playstands and avaries look like?
I've seen some amazing creations when people custom build their own as well as ideas of how to set out cage layout with toys, perches etc.

I learned a valuable lesson with bamboo pots they have to be big and very sturdy that stuff is strong and also to cover any soil with stones - stops mice trying to move in and birdies from trying to rip the roots out.

All the above taken this summer before we left Carshalton and moved the whole family to Wiltshire (parrots and us currently lodging with parents). The bamboo is now in a much bigger pot! The third pic is of Clayton in his 'observation pod'. When we have a permanent spot I'll extend the flight section a bit, making it 12 x 6 feet. I've got tons of parrot-safe plants growing in big pots now, so the next aviary can be a real jungle.

Wow, love the pics, thanks for sharing, your greys look very happy and healthy. May I ask which plants do they enjoy the most? Also do you cover the soil?

Thanks! At various times I've used willow, runner beans, buddleia and bamboo in their aviaries. They haven't really done much damage to any of it, apart from some harmless nibbling, as they seem to prefer stripping bark off their perches (which I replace regularly). They do like eating the beans, off the vines, but they won't touch them if served in a bowl! Generally speaking they haven't rummaged about in the pots at all, so it's not been necessary to put gravel on top of the soil, but I should probably do this as a precaution anyway. It's definitely worth putting plants in your flights as it makes them so much more attractive for all concerned. The trick of course it to position the plants carefully so they don't get droppings on them or obstruct the birds' flight. What parrots have you got?
