Wing Feathers

Thank you, that's really kind Kerin, we do have a brilliant vet if anyone is in Norfolk I can highly recommend Elliot from westover vets.

It is good to hear you have a nice vet.Sadly over the years I have seen the pet trade (after the bird flu of 2004)being taken over by individuals who only have profit at heart, this is the main reason I stopped selling pet birds. To clip an aviary bird to sell as a pet should be a criminal offence(in my opinion)and clipping any bird should only be carried out with due proccess to the interest of the individual or it's partner(when in a breeding set up).Every young bird must be allowed and trained to fly(they will fly naturally!)to build up their body muscles.
I do hope that this bird recovers and is a great asset to you.

I totally agree, I've thought of reporting the breeder she came from but then what will be done about it as you say it's not illegal to clip a bird, I've spoke to other breeders that know him and they have all said his practice is bad to say the least.
The vet is coming tomorrow at 11am so hopefully we will know a lot more then.

Do let us know how you both get on , i have only just read through the post Kirsty1508.
