Just seen the 'birds of the world' free flight display at Whipsnade. Hyacinths, scarlets, militaries and...a pair of African greys flying very speedily around a large outdoor area. It was great! Apparently their goal is to have a large 'squadron' of free-flying greys.

Beautiful birds, they used to do this at Bird World, Farnham many years ago, it was wonderful.

Sounds amazing!! Would love to have seen them! Did you take any pics? :)

Afraid not! Will try next time but they were all moving very fast. A good reminder that parrots do love to fly if the space is available.

However here's Winnie watching the scarlets (when they finally landed). They must have been airbourne for 10-15 mins, circling the area at high altitude.
