Very strange poops, waiting for the vet to get back to me

you should inform the person or shop where you picked the bird up from, i will tag @CaptainHowdy @DizzyBlue for their advice. i have been lucky that none of the birds i have taken on have had or been diagnosed with chlamydia. the main thing is you found out early and it can be treated.
I did! They said they will notify other customers and do some testing on the birds that are still in the shop. Hopefully they actually do!
I’m quite happy we didn’t wait to see if she would “get better” on her own and took her to the vet straight away. She is still a baby so I trust she will recover quickly ☺️

@LenaFox .
Sorry to hear little one is poorly.
Chlamydia in birds is what they call a zoonotic meaning it can be passed from bird to human as well as bird to bird.
For your birdie it will be a 45 day treatment and you get lots of scrubbing and cleaning to do plus wearing a face mask while your doing it also your health care provider needs to know that you/your family are living with a bird undergoing treatment your doctor will know it more than likely as psittacosis. For humans it's like flu that won't go away chills, lethargy, upset stomach, dry cough and aching
Your bird will be retested 45 days after treatment to check it's gone.

I’ll let my GP know we are exposed to the bacteria!
Waiting for some f10 to do some deep cleaning. Also picking her prescription today which, in case someone was wondering, was under £10. I don’t think it’s doxycycline, it’s called something different, I’ll update when I have the meds with me.
Thank you all, this is an amazing community!
