Unsafe Pans

Here's a bit of a strange one.
HexClad pans stated they were PFAS/PFOA free
Then along came a load of independent testing and a flipping huge court action for telling porkie pies as it has Teflon in it
They agreed to a £2.5 million settlement in June of this year.
Those who bought it before this year should get a refund ..... however what peaked my interest is what happened to their old stock?
Was it relabelled or was it sold off or is it still sitting in their warehouse or was it destroyed? Anybody's guess I suppose
Thing is how on earth would you know if its the old stuff or the apparently newly revamped stuff since its identical?

Just to say in summary if your thinking of buying it errr perhaps think again and go for stainless steel uncoated.

I only use stainless steel or good quality cast iron. I don't know if the said company make their pans, or if they buy them in and put their name on them. If they buy them in, at the original time of testing they might have been OK, and their manufacturing partner may have cut costs, to increase profits. This practice is not unusual from certain countries, and a company that has advertised their product in good faith get caught out.

So I am always unsure of any of these so called coatings. So I only buy what I know is completely safe in the home around birds.
