Good morning

Busy and trying times down here. We had quite a leak coming from one of the pipes feeding the hand basin in the downstairs WC. Hubby annoyed with himself for not being capable of fixing things any more and due to trying to source exactly where the leak is coming from hurt his back in a spot where he had slipped disc many years ago, needless to say he's now in a lot of pain and taking co-codamol. So (long story short) It being a Sunday afternoon when this happened, I spent many hours placing old towels on the floor to mop it up as the stop cock was not accessible for the hot water which is where it was coming from. Yesterday our friends came and he is a plumber so he did the job which took 2.5hrs and a good job done plus left all neat and tidy. He didn't want to charge but we got his bank details and paid him anyway, otherwise we wouldn't feel we could call on him again if needed. We all had a good chat and cuppas so that was nice.

Do hope those who have been poorly are beginning to recover there seems to be lots of virus about (non covid ones).

Keep safe and warm everyone.

Morning peeps
Dark but strangely mild outside today thankfully the snow we had yesterday has gone.
I have done some tidying up on forum moving threads around. I have also locked down old threads that have finished so that new threads will be made rather than old threads being tagged in to without people noticing the date is rather old and perhaps not live or relevant any longer.
Old lost and found posts over approximately three months old from the RSS feeds are being dropped from view as I no longer have excess time to go through them all dropping just the completed/reunited ones from view.
Any headaches created please let me know.
Rehoming folder has been altered so that all new posts need to be approved by moderators first before appearing - ethos of this site has always been to try and help owners and birds to stay together by offering help first and foremost so we're going to try things a little differently offering the alternatives first training and advice offers firstly and if owner sees zero alternative then rehoming option.
New covid variant seems to be rising so please ensure you stay safe
Bird flu cases increasing please adhere to the law regarding moving in and out of restricted bird zones and keeping up to date with bio security.
Have a good day all

Heavy frost this morning but lovely and sunny now. Made the Christmas cake (Delia's recipe) but instead of almonds I tipped 40 gm pumpkin seeds into the mix before I realised🤣, so we've now got both in there plus all the alcohol soaked fruit.
Out to help a friend this afternoon.
Take care folks omicron variant will be everywhere before you know it!

Your dinner? Sorry your a parrot slave and the rules changed.

What's yours is his (unless he doesn't like it or It's scary then it's yours) what's his is his and until everything has been inspected and evaluated by him your still not allowed to say it's yours :risas3:

I have had foot prints in mashed potato before now as a certain bird saw fresh peas at the other side of the plate I hadn't declared were in existence I wasn't fast enough to stop Henni hurtling across to dive in luckily nothing was hot
