Good morning, what a cold one here.
Dashing around as got to drop my car off later in readiness for the morning its service/MOT due. I just finished washing it yesterday when a local mobile car valeting company arrived, hubby had booked them to do it for me as a surprise. he'd seen me washing it but never said a word! Anyway it is sparkling now - for a little while until I drive up the muddy track. Daughter called in at the same time and parked close by sort of hoping hers would get done !!!
Other daughter had op yesterday varicose veins in both legs day surgery and was allowed home last night, in a lot of discomfort today which is to be expected.
Am hoping also to pop into town at some stage to order a new fridge/freezer, had our over 30yrs its a Kelvinator which you cannot get these days, still works but is not frost free any more. I'll offer it on Freecycle or local FB page it may be useful to someone.

Good luck today to Michael at his hospital appointment.

Men can be very silly at times, I know I have one, sometimes.

Sunny here but cold, the builder is bashing a hole in the wall, no door, so going to be even colder. I can feel it now even with the heating one, brrr.

@Michael Reynolds, You should get some answers today, stay strong.

Well there we are took my car in for tomorrow service/mot then we went into town came across our friend who were shopping too so had a quick chat - too cold to stand around for long. headed off to various shops and ended up buying a new fridge freezer a Blomberg one which should be delivered Saturday but they will confirm. Mind as our phone's still not working we gave mobiles but they rarely work indoors due to the stone walls, so could be a surprise when it turns up.
It is now raining again.

That's good news Michael things are moving. Do you get to choose the shape of the nose - you could do so I expect.

There are to many Michael Jackson jokes I could spill out but I feel now is not the time, I'm glad things are moving forward for you Michael and that you are being so positive about things. Don't forget we are here if you need a chat.

@Yellowchickenparrot the way I am looking at my position I will rather be forwards and open about my skin cancer and what I have to go through with so if others find a spot that dose not clear they can get it checked soon. mine is aggressive so not as common as most Sarcomas, but getting a good sun cream and not getting sun burnt is the best protection. I am not looking forwards to having the face lift but needs must and I will rather suffer the pain now than suffer the pain and knowing I will die if I do not get it removed.

By being open about the face lift I hope that anyone being faced with such a choice will understand more of what to expect, I have a friend of a friend that has so far refused a less obtrusive operation so I am also trying to persuade her to change her mind, looks don't mean a thing its the person behind the looks that count.

if I can help one person get over the cancer and stay strong through the whole procedure then that will make me happy

I am far from brave, I do not have much choice, but being I am going through with the operation I am in the position to guide others and help support them, it was so sad when Jude past away after her fight I had great respects for her fighting till the end. I am 90% sure I will recover fully and show that quick action can have positive results. its no good letting myself worry about tomorrow what has to be has to be, there are other methods of fighting the cancer but removal in my case has the best long term results. the computer is a great educator watched the operations involved yes even the gory bits that they may need to perform. I have had some hard choices to make but my acceptance to the most invasive of choices is based on the chance of full recovery I still want to beat my mum and live for longer than one hundred and two years of age. @dianaT @Yellowchickenparrot

@MJGB - MikeJenGaryBeckyBoo I had not mentioned this on the open posts until I let my family know, the growth in my nose may of started some while ago but I did not think it was much more than a Walt. it started to get painful about four months ago, at first as it grew I just picked it off still not concerned, well it never got any better so I went to the doctors about 63 days ago. from then I had an appointment at Maidstone hospital. basic check was done and they sent me to Pembury Hospital for a Biopsy. the result came back and I was told the results, I was soon sent for a MRI scan and with contrast so that means on the second scan they inject a fluid that shows up parts better. they took bloods for analysis. a further visit for a CT scan then a consultants meeting. I was then transferred to East Grinstead. saw the specialist and they was concerned on how it a grown. they required more tests I had an x-ray , then they discussed the various options at this time they talked about removal of the nose, cheek, part of the top jaw plus possible part of the mouth but then before they make there final results I had to go for the tests again I had the CT scan the same day and the MRI today results on Thursday I will update you all.
