- Hi all I’m the mum of a moustached Picasso parakeet, had two amazons as a child growing up in the Caribbean. I’m an artist and I love birds
Oh wow, I know where to look if we decide to get another . He fell asleep on my index finger last night and it was just the sweetest thing! He’s 12 weeks still finding his legs and figuring out his flightpath.Moustached Parakeets are beautiful birds, I have bred them and have three.
Thank you for the advice I will keep an eye out. We were told he was a boy.I guess being young he still needs plenty of naps . There is still time for his beak to change colour it will turn black if a hen and by the age of a year he/she will have its final colour, that is unless it has had a DNA test and you were told it's gender.
I had originally thought big when I decided to get a parrot , but I wasn't sure I was brave enough either [emoji1]. Mind you, Ziggy, my female, definitely acts like a big Macaw and she can give a mean bite if the mood takes her!Hello Cazimodo and mini Macaws! they are beautiful! My Aunty had a Scarlet and Blue and Gold one. They are majestic looking but the size of the beak and shriek put the fear of god in my 5 year old self !
