Good morning, a very autumnal start here this morning with that smell of autumn in the air which I quite like. The sun has broken through so I have wobbled my way on the steps (I don't have a head for heights) and got the big curtains down, washed and out to dry.
Busy cooking Shepherds Pie for later, it always smells good.
Have a nice day everyone.

Hello all, the grass is turning brown and the waterbutt empty, but a lovely temperature. An old work friend had called me today they were in the area, so she and her husband came for lunch, and we didn't talk about work! Dora tried to out-talk us all which is unusual as she is often a bit shy when we have company.
I'm currently nursing an inflammation by my shoulder which started about 6 weeks ago as a tick bite, and has become a big red rash.🙁, so I'm taking a high dose of antibiotics for 2 weeks and have to have a blood test to check for Lyme's disease.
Bike ride tomorrow and bosh, another week has gone by.
Take care folks

@Yellowchickenparrot when I went (been twice) I didn't see any wing clipped birds.
Went with KevH and as we walked around we got landed on I nearly came home with a conure who wouldn't take the hint to stay put on a branch as I wanted to go for a coffee. The cockatoo that decided to not allow anybody but himself to operate the till in the gift shop just flew in and out the door at will.
Those that aren't human interactive or free flight trained have large aviaries to live in so the don't have to interact if they don't want to

Looking through the latest photos I do see one with no main flights on a left wing.but then again there's a couple that don't have body feathers!

Think location of the site has a lot to do with things. The place is situated in a valley like area with loads of very tall trees throughout the site when you look beyond the site area it's open farmland so as such nowhere to fly to tree wise / obvious landing area.
