Come on shake a leg time to put your game face on, parrot slave duties to be done :)
Apparently late this morning there's a solar eclipse called a ring if fire. Think we in UK will see a 50% eclipse so no trying to look at it .... well that's if you see the sun! Was stinking hot here yesterday with crystal blue sky at the moment it's grey cloudy and cool. Cuckoo is currently living it large making a wonderful morning chorus :)
Have to admit to having started to watch a tv series that's really interesting to me it's the How Do They Do That? If anybody likes random information as to how things are made that you have come across like how things are packaged, manufactured - fab watching things like chocolate chip cookies made or a toothbrush bristle created or a violin created. It's on freeview.
must grab a shower and get gone for the newspapers
stay safe peeps the virus is on the rise again :(

Good morning @DizzyBlue , have just shaken a leg as instructed and am up and about and just back from the newsagents.
It is cloudy and cool at the moment but will be 23c here later and 15c tonight, flipping heck, i will have to take one of my thermal vests of tonight.
Well you wouldn't believe it, first of all my private phone consultation re my back on 29th May never happened, apparently the consultant cancelled it due to other commitments but the office didn't bother to tell, then i was given a face to face consultation for the 19th June, i had the confirmation later last week and yesterday I received a letter telling me it has now changed to 24th July !!!! Rowley private hospital now part of the Ramsey group.
They have treated me shamefully i think they are so busy now due to NHS backlog that have become indifferent to potential clients.
The other place the doctor suggested was the Nuffield group, nearest is in Wolverhampton 30 mins away, I looked at their website and their spinal consultations, identified the contact and rang them yesterday, certainly sir, our specialist spinal consultant can see you for a face to face on Wednesday morning, please ask your surgery to email me the referral letter together with any recent MRI scan results, which they did and all was done in 30 mins.. What a difference in attitude and efficiency and same fee as Rowley. I will just cancel the Rowley appointment for now and react to their shambolic service with an objective review in due course, frankly I have no confidence that the 24th July appointment will be held.
We arrived at the country pub, the Holly Bush for lunch yesterday and it has closed down and up for rent, haha! well you can't have a day when all goes right i suppose. if you don't laugh you would cry sometimes.
Today I will mostly be doing nothing so that's nice .,, enjoy your day good peeps.

@Wendy Cooper-Wolfe I do recall an English pub in Perigueux called the Sun Inn run by a lovely English couple and one evening a week they had a fish and chip van there, a little touch of old blighty.. Glad your wax clogged lugs have been cleaned out, you should have asked for a doggy bag and made candles from it all, oh well, c'est la vie.

@Beaky lol no wax in them I have hearing loss.... deaf as a door handle it feels like ..... I have low sound frequency damaged but that flipping machine that sends beeps to check what you can or can't hear sure as heck sounds like an explosion going off at times :risas3: gives me a cracking headache when one side they play white noise in your ear and the other ear gets those flipping machine beeps sounded in it but I still have more hearing than most so blessings counted :)

Sounds like your having a rough ride with the appointments for your back :( steady on shaking that leg we don't want it to cause more issues.

Good morning
Not long back from taking hubby to physio.

@Beaky thank goodness you found the Nuffield group who seem far more efficient that the other lot. Shame about the pub lunch.

@DizzyBlue good you have had your 'ears serviced' !

Another wet day here and very very misty too. I had to have headlights on to the hospital and back.

We got to the hospital in good time and as Alan has a blue badge found a disabled space. He saw physio Connor and I went in with him too all ok as to be expected. Connor the physio said to let's go to the gym to walk along the parrell bars ...the gym...Alans face - the gym! After Connor picked him off the floor off they went ! He will see him again on 8 July but at South Pembrokeshire Hospital as he's to go work there. He has more exercises to do. He examined Alans painful wrist and could see he had difficulty with it, he said it is not fractured and will see about what he can be done once he's finished re the knee. On the way back I stopped by the chemist to collect the prescription of more pain relief.

Yesterday daughter went to the Botanic Gardens where the brain injury unit have rooms where members can got to meet, while there she dropped her mobile down the loo! said it fell out of her back pocket and she'd forgotten it was there, anyway she gingerly fished it out obviously cleaned it and her hands many times and now has the phone in a bag of rice for 48hrs to see if it will dry out. I hope it does as she's not had it long and it was expensive and not covered via insurance
