 well that was a day out to remember!! if anybody wants a review of the north yorkshire hospitals just ask :crazy_pilot:
Well little pidge at least is going to live to fight another day
poor little dude had tried to fledge and ended up in a bit of a pickle on the lower rock face and when i got to him i found his left foot totally encased his right one partially encased so he couldn't use his feet properly you can't hang on if you can't use your claws and tootsies
so sorted that out and located the nest and as i was too short employed the extra height of Bob on a large boulder
and got him bad where he can start all over again another day. If left where he was either somebody's dog would have had him but he would have drown when the tide came in. People call them pests me ... i have always liked them
There after came a little miss hap lol. I slipped and with my hand outstretched i landed bending my little finger back over the back of my hand :smiley-signs131: unfortunately far enough for the knuckle joint where it joins your hand to stretch the skin and pop through the inner hand,,, i ripped the entire thing loose no webbing now attaching little finger to next finger ...ripped it all the way around to the outside edge of the hand :bad:
Whitby hospital took one look said you need to go straight to Scarborough hospital we need to find out if the tendons are still attached you may need a surgeon tonight :stop: WHOA!!! Too much info!! So ibuprofen plus co-codamol and the bleeding stemmed off we trundle to scarborough .... two doctors opinions a couple of nurses to see some really strange carnage then down to xray back to orthopaedics off to see orthopaedics surgeon and back to a&e ... syringed out then 5 injections to numb it followed by internal stitches external ones tape bandages plus more fecking tape (now look like i have a boxing glove on my left hand!!) antibiotics pain killers another appointment at hospital this coming Tuesday ...and not a chuffing cup of coffee in sight :wall:
Even the coffee machine in the hospital was injured and unable to provide the oh so needed caffine i craved by that time!! BUT little pidge is safe and going to stand a good chance now
so all in all a good result x
