The following talk by Greg Glendell and two avian vets might be of interest to members in the area..

I am doing a talk near Birkenhead on Sunday Oct 21st this year, along with a couple of bird vets, Richard Jones and Alan Humphreys, so if you're able to make it that would be great.

For more info go tohttp://www.swiftasabird.com and look under Parrot/Bird talks heading. I'll be having my books for sale and also some table-top parrot perches.

Hi Liz,

This is about as far North as I ever go! Though I did do a John 'o Groats to Lands end Bike ride many years ago and cyclng through Scotland makes you realise how big the country is.

I've been amazed at how cheap rail fares are if you shop around on line and buy them in advance. Had to make a few trips to London from Weston s Mare recently (bird welfare issues) and I can still get there and back for less than £30.

Vets Richard Jones and his Vet Nurse Carli and Alan Humphreys did their talks there with me last year and they are all very good speakers. We will be concentrating on behaviour and general welfare issues for pet bird owners, so should be a good day. And we are making plenty of time for questions/answers sessions as well. Would be great to meet up with Parrot Club members on the day!

Same here Ann-Marie - would be great to go... maybe we can go together save costs on fuel ;)

Okay deal then Ann-Marie.... will find out about tickets and parking when i ring as for me it would be great if there is disabled parking so i dont have a long long walk :)
