Yes budge got his mention and its, looking like he is going to get a mention on Richards website too.
The talk was really interesting. I know Richard obviously but it was good to hear from Alan who has a vets in Liverpool and seems to know his stuff. Also great to met Greg in person and see how he trains his birds. I know not everyone agrees with greg's opinions but I think when you meet someone in person and listen to how he has arrived at those opinions you can see just how passionate he is about the subject xx
I just think its sad when things become personal and the real point of it all gets lost in the mix as I'm sure no one can dispute that its heart breaking there are so many unwanted parrots out there xx
No I said I didn't take sides as you can see it is in inverted speach marks denoting as I didn't no how else to word it.
Yes it is sad when things become personal and the birds come secondary to the subject. It's a crying shame when an excellent forum that has so much to offer and a vast amount of information to be tapped is reduced to peoples inability to take off their blinkers and be open to others view and opinions and take into account their human feelings and see it as a trading of information rather than having to alter and change that person into something that they find more to their liking. Not everybody in this life is designed to get along I know.
My experience has left a bitter taste in my mouth on that side of things. To which I refer of being offered in open forum assistance with my charge and thinking yes my Henni is worth more to me no matter what I personally think I'll take up that offer. I telephone twice, leave a message on answer phone I then pm my personal email address all to no avail and then to add insult to injury am told in open forum I am putting people off and in effect sabotaging a parrot questionnaire to help the birds......hmmmmm it's not always one sided. I think EVERYBODY need to think twice before they post.
I'm glad you found the talk informative and enjoyed it Ann-Marie, it's always good to learn new things and be open to new suggestions and ways especially when it comes to those precious creatures in our care who have no voice of their own to speak their opinion.
Nikki I think you are an excellent hobby breeder with qualities and kindness that surpass all others I truly believe you and your family care deeply for those that you raise and the fact that you make sure they always have friends of their own species when they are growing up and don’t allow them to leave too soon whilst gaining as much experience as possible before they venture forth to their new families speaks volumes about your commitment to their well-being and welfare. Don't ever change
Me I'm done with this, if admin choose to delete this post which does not breach any forum rules then hey ho such is life!
I’ve met some lovely people on here and some great giggles, a few heart aches but at my ancient age I’m well balanced enough to play the cards I’m dealt
And just for the record Tascha, don't you dare change either, you are my sort of person even tho we have never met in person, I love the way you love Henni and your others and any other wildlife that comes your way, you are always there to lend and ear or a helping hand, and without getting all sloppy on ya, the world would be a whole lot better place if there were more people like you in it X
