Bless you, your really worrying arent you? you are going through exactly what i went through, dont worry, our birds are very intelligent, and the only reason they fall is normally when they are spooked or the environment entices them to try to fly ie: a treat, food, poitive reinforcement, I adjusted the environment to suit Eric, I purchased perches for the exterior of the cage, then added the rope netting, so basically he could climb all around the room. I know the danger of them falling and breaking the sternum, which would be tragic, but your bird has enough feathers to be able to glide down..Eric had nothing, that was the problem. My other problem was I did the course after the operation, I am not thinking about the money I could have saved, it was more that I now know i think I could have helped him in other ways btw the procedure was £247 pounds sterling.
