Good morning all, weather slight cloud but sunny, so I am going to get some of the flock out in the garden. I have a lot of catching up to do as being out looking for Ruby took a lot of my time up last week. just going to let the chickens out, I have a few visitors today so I think its going to be a noisy one as Buster will be shouting at them. I hope all those unwell will have a better day today and fill like they are 16 again.

Good morning Michael and everyone, what a wet blustery night.
Sad that Ruby cannot be found yet .
Busy here with family staying, but I will look in from time to time.
Hope you all keep safe and dry.

Morning folks. Grey here this morning just for a change. The sun came out yesterday afternoon, but then in the evening we had a thunderstorm and torrential rain. It was so heavy that the garden was flooding at one point. More rain forecast for today.

We're on night 2 of the parrots sleeping separately, and it seems to be working in that the screeching from Ziggy during the night has stopped. As soon as I get her out for their first out of cage session in the morning she starts plucking again, but at least both she and Frodo are now getting a decent night's sleep.

Going to do some housework and then watch some movies today.

Have a good one everybody.

Morning everyone hope you all had a good night sleep. Fetching Tally from Daus this afternoon she will be in small cage strapped to front seat [not my dau] with her big cage in back of my estate with seats down just fits yah !!
Fresh from my recent police caution for riding my cycle otherwise in accordance with local bylaws I have changed my personna and am now the oldest rebel in the village. Twice yesterday i went out and left the gate open, I don't care any more. I have started dealing paracetamol and artheritis pills in old peoples homes, a new tough personna now plaguing the village as local dealer, I have also had my head shaved sides and back, looking like an extra from Beaky blinders.. ha.. I also wanted 'Dealer' tatood tp side of my head after hair cut, the stupid old tatooist is half deaf and now i am walking around with 'Delia' on the side of my head, stupid old git..
I told the wife am going to be the new James Dean rebel without a cause, she says i am more like james Martin. told her any more wisecracks and i will start leaving the fridge door open, grrr.
have a good day everyone, [Excuse spellings]....

Afternoon all! It's warming up here again at last, by which I mean late 20s - I'm sure it will be well into the thirties soon as we're heading towards the hottest driest part of the year. We've just been having a Father's day barbecue (yes, that's right - I don't think it's Father's day in any other country today though!). I was a bit oblivious when Mrs A suggested the idea last week. "For your dad?"

"Yes, and for you!"

"ME?" Long pause ensues, till I finally realized: "Oh, wait, I suppose I am these days..." :emoji_astonished:

We put the FIL in charge of the barbecue after it was lit, as he has probably cooked a lot more of them in his time than I have, so he should know what he is doing. I had a very tedious and sweaty time trying to cut cracked eucalyptus logs with a blunt old panel saw, only for him to turn up with half a sack of charcoal, so we ended up with rather more fuel than we needed, and soon had a massive furnace roaring away out there. I think we could have cooked an entire cow on it (not unknown in this part of the world) if we had kept it going for a few hours like that!

With 4 adults here we should have had plenty of hands to get everything done, but unfortunately it worked like this: MIL to watch big girl, Mrs A to care for baby, FIL to tend barbecue, and me to prepare everything, clean all the raw meat things, carry stuff in and out, AND, apparently, watch MIL while she was supposed to be watching big girl, as MIL was letting her run all over the garden in the hot sun and touch things she wasn't supposed to, get too close to barbecue fire, etc. Wife saw these antics when I was trying to do other things and came to panic at me - I suppose she has learned by long experience that going to tell her mother off for being irresponsible would be a complete waste of time! Apparently what we actually have is three adults and three children, one rather older, larger, and naughtier than the other two, and liable to get them into trouble they wouldn't on their own. :emoji_unamused:

Thank u Michael for having them. It was lovely to meet u And some of yr feathered friends.
I'm sure Cash will enjoy celebrating his 7th hatch day in a few days time with his new friends. I hope he won't pick up Mr Busters decibels.
