Not long till Stafford this is not the main event one but is the first PSUK of the year start saving your pennies up if your going :)

Thanks for the info @TomsMum and @Parrot797. It is always hard going somewhere new, and not knowing what the facilities are like. I can't go over grass but I am sure @RoyJess will carry me. It is nice knowing the paths are tarmac. I might have to ring them about the toilets because some disabled toilets won't fit my laid out wheelchair.
Have any of you two been before?

Used to go to them regularly long time back. I think if you contact the PS office and explain they may let Roy drive you on the tarmac close to the entrance to get out, and if you are lucky maybe even reserve a space for you, you only have to ask and explain. It may also help if you are a member.

I try and give them a ring Tuesday because Roy wants to go to the zoo tomorrow, and so do I. They have a B&G Macaw and he likes preening my hair. I am friends with the keepers so we get to do a lot more than other people.

The shows have changed so much over the years. I remember going to Sandown Park for the shows they held there!

They may still be able to help with disabled parking? Or point Jess to who would help?

Anyone going to Stafford Show tomorrow?
It’s on despite recent weather...
and amongst others you’ll be able to see @Catalina ‘s team from Garden Feathers.

Is it still on?
Did wonder with all the bad weather if it was wise to go?! Not sure what it's like down there and how bad they got it.

Ok checked the site ..... yup still on!

YES - THE SHOW IS ON!

A LITTLE BIT OF SNOW IS NOT STOPPING US, THE STAFFORD SPRING BIRD SHOW IS GOING AHEAD.

Please take care on the way to the event, we wish you all a very safe journey.

Staffordshire Spring Bird Show remains the greatest gathering in the country for aviculture. Nowhere else will you find such a vast array of healthy, well-kept avicultural specimens available from experienced breeders ready to share their knowledge freely.

This show is not a 'pet fair', there are no pet birds for sale just a massive selection of, mostly British, captive bred birds for sale by breeders and to breeders. Every birdkeeper is welcome, from junior to the most experienced and the show continues it's ethos of sharing and advancing avicultural practices by encouraged knowledge sharing.

Standards are yet again exceedingly high this year with all birds and cages inspected prior to being offered, as well as day long checks by the stewards supported by on site veterinary expertise. Inspected by Defra and the RSPCA. A DEFRA approved vet will be available to issue health certificates for birds being exported to other EU countries.*

Hello all, we are here at the show ground, Garden Feathers and Deli Nature. It’s snowing a little but the roads are clear so far.
Do stop by and say hello tomorrow if you’re at the show!

I have to say I hate these shows, if you go please shower and change when you get home before you have any contact with your own feathered friends and my advice is to try not to buy any birds!

Have a safe trip
