ok here is a pinned thread of some of the parrot friendly recipes we have on site, there are so many pages in the food and diet section I won’t have got them all so do have a gander through and feel free to add any

Parrot friendly Muffins
2cups wholemeal flour
1 cup pellets
1/2 cup water
2 mashed bananas
I sachet baby food (I use Ella's)
tablespoon palm oil
tablespoon coconut oil
teaspoon baking powder
sprinkle cinnamon
tablespoon honey
I egg including eggshell

add some nuts and fresh fruit if you like usually add blueberries and raspberries
mash banana's in a bowl, crush pellets in a food processor or pestle and mortar works well, blend/crush egg shell and nuts to if your using them or whack em in whole it’s up to you, basically add everything and mix, it is a wet batter so don't worry pop in muffin tin/cases or make as one big cake and bake on 170/180 for approx. 20-30 mins until you put a skewer in and it comes out clear.

Kendra's Nutritious Berries

1dried fruit (No sugar added!) Raisins, mango, papaya, apples, apricots, bananas, cranberries, blueberries, cherries and dates (or any combination of these) are classic favourites!
1 old fashioned rolled oats
Pellets
1/2 crushed Almonds, walnuts, pistachios, pecans and hazelnuts
1/3 flax seeds
1/3 quinoa
1/3 hulled millet
1/4 flaked coconut
3 tbsp sweetener (honey, apple or agave nectar)

I use a small mug for the measure

Directions:_ Grind the dried fruit, rolled oats, pellets, seeds and nuts in a blender or food processor. Mix thoroughly with all remaining ingredients. If mixture does not pack together easily, it may be necessary to stir in an additional drizzle of sweetener.

Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Coat hands in oil or water to stop sticking and form mixture into tightly packed 1/2 to 1 inch balls. Place on a baking sheet that is either lightly greased or covered in parchment paper. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden.

Allow the treats to cool completely before removing them from the baking sheet. They harden as they cool and will fall apart if moved while they are still warm! Store in an airtight container.

I change the ingredients added grated carrot last time, add more or less of something or not at all, really adaptable, if you do not have all the ingredients do not let that put you off.

Jammerdubs bird cakes

Ingredients:
2 tbsp seed
2 tbsp oats or finely cubed veggies
I use broccoli tips and spinach leaves cut into tiny pieces
1 tbsp whole wheat flour
1 tbsn organic honey
1/2 tbsp water
3" worth of millet sprig

Mix seed, oats/veggies, flour and millet, then add the water and mix into the dry mixture evenly. Add the honey and mix until it has a doughy consistency. You may have to add more flour or more honey to get the perfect consistency. Shape the dough into small cakes about 1 or 3 inches in diameter depending on what size cakes you want. Bake the cakes for 30 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 175 degrees Celsius. Let cool for a half an hour to make sure your bird doesn't burn itself. I used peanut butter as icing and used Lucky's budgie pellets as sprinkles.

This recipe may need some experimenting with to get exactly what you want. This works for me and my oven for what I know my birds like. Hope you enjoy making them as much as your birds will like eating them!
