Sexing a Barraband

Hi, I already had a female Barraband and I rescued another back in June. I was told it was a girl and I named her Yoda, as she loves hanging upside down.
I've just been given some more background on her and she is a he. Apparently surgically sexed, I've never heard of that before, how can I tell I don't want babies, but i don't think I could separate them now. Where I goes the other follows. Yoda is about 10/12 months

Surgical sexing is common these day so if stated male it's male. Is your other bird DNA of surgically sexed? If the other is definitely female babies could be a possibility but can be avoided by swapping the eggs for dummies or by ensuring that the eggs won't hatch by boiling them and popping them back. But it's never certain obviously as sometimes you get sterile birds or they're human imprinted
