Seed recommendations

The tidymix has really really low sunflower seed in it’s hard to find any, the best mix is this one but I assume this is the one your having problems with?4FEF8B08-450D-4CBF-A48A-262BECDACD3C.jpeg

Yeah that's the one I currently use. Pity as it's been really good up until now. The peanuts getting in I can deal with as I just pick them out but now finding that silica gel packet in there it's really put me off :(

What a shame that mix is better than any I can think of. I started using that mix because I started finding bits of rope, string and bit of plastic bag in the seed mix I was previously using.

Has anyone used Deli Nature? I've just come across them and can see they do mixes with no peanuts. Most have sunflower seeds but that I can deal with if the rest of the mix is good. 100% will not use a mix with peanuts in though.

I'm fussy I know 😂😂😂

I use Deli Nature numbers 61 and 64 have been for a couple of years now but if your avoiding sunflower then they are not for you

There are a few of us been using it for a few years come to think of it all using the same numbers... Jude always used it, KevH does,Bob does ....

I can deal with the sunflower but not peanuts. They are the only one I've come across so far that don't have peanuts in all their mixes, the northern parrots one I looked out is out of stock.

Is the seed fresh then? I assume they are good quality if you're using them :)

Really fresh shipped in from Belgium on a regular basis just remember to shake up the sack if you buy a sack as gravity does it's bit at letting all the little seeds drop to the bottom! Sprouts like flipping crazy if you soak it my lot love the variety of dried fruit chunks, Alfie likes dragging out the cedar nuts first but to be honest I have very little waste so I am not complaining. You can order it in smaller quantities from Garden Feathers they are the people who ship it in and distribute it to others

Might be the one I try out next then! Still got about 4 bags of the AS to go through, not found any more silica gel in them funnily enough! But after all this I've completely lost faith in them which is a shame as it was a really good mix.

The garden feathers was the site I was looking at I think then I went direct to their website to see what else they did. I always buy in bulk so that's no problem :)
