    Morning All...

Its a cloudy morning and not too warm. There could well be some light rain later and even some broken sun but for sure it will not be a too settled day. The sky is 100% grey and I dont know what its going to chuck down but it dont look too friendly.

Both birds are well and very noisy this morning. There was an advert on the radio a few seconds ago for fire systems or something and in the advert they play a fire alarm bleeping. Nacho and Roxy must both think its a bird chirping cos it really starts them off. Its the loudest they get to for nearly the whole day. There is also a big flock of Goldfinches around my Niger seeds and the other wild birds have been coming here including the Coal Tits.

With the forecast as it is today I think whatever I do will be inside. There will be plenty of out time for the birds and I just dont want them on this table so I built a stand for them. However, Roxy spends most of his time in his cage and Nacho likes to walk all over my head. I'm just going to take it easy today and do whatever comes along.

Have a Great Saturday Everyone and Get Well Quickly if you are feeling Poorly.

Good morning Nigel and everyone, dull and a slight frost here right now.
I had a lovely bouquet of flowers from one of my daughters yesterday as a gift for Mothers Day Sunday, but I wish she kept her money, I don't agree with all these 'special days', still it was very kind of her.

    Morning Nigel and Diana
Lovely here today and was lovely here yesterday too,
Diana what is it with you mothers that won't just accept a gift given from the heart and say no keep money don't spend it on me etc etc? Ok the Sunday has gotten commercialised but us kids (goodness can I still be a kid even after passing the age of 50?!) still like our mums to know we appreciate them and what they have done :) Your much loved so just give up trying to avoid it lol :) Just seen on the news that Mothers Day is the second highest spending day of the year other than Christmas but Christmas last longer!
Well double glazing hunt is finished and will be installed in May - job off the list and done WOOOO HOOOOO. Monday sees the start of a dental appointment every week for the entire month of April …. if anybody asks me what the scariest thing in the whole wild world is it not going to be a crocodile or a lion or even a spider nor a serial killer nor an amazon cock bird in full on attack hormonal meltdown mode …. its going to be the dentist! :yikes::yikes::yikes: Have to say though they have assigned me a foreign lady dentist and she is totally lovely but the profession she chose in her life …… :yikes::yikes::yikes:
The car has had three early in the morning blats down the motorway red lining it through the gears and thinking for heavens sake this car is economical as the diesel gauge is very slow in going down enough to slap redex in it have bought two cans of EGR valve de-carb spray and sprayed it to try and see if that shifts it all. Have to say totally enjoying the experience of not a soul on the road just praying it stays that way and I don't come across a jam sandwich as they used to be called otherwise may be kissing my licence goodbye! :naughty2:
Thanks for the reminder about the clocks Nigel these days its all done automatically remember when I used to get to reset the wind up clocks back seemed to be more fun back then :)
    Right onwards and upwards.
Hugs to those in need of a hug, healing thoughts to humans and birds alike who are not feeling well, and to all of you stay safe xx

Good Morning Nigel and Diana and all that follow. After a very clear night Great for star watchers but was a little chilly, this morning is sunny and I think it will be a warm one here. Well the birds are all in fine voice this morning with Jackie calling from the time I first got up. may get a few out in the garden today to take advantage of the weather.

was out from 2pm until late yesterday had Poppy with me with friends and had a lovely dinner and poppy enjoyed her carrots cauliflower and broccoli mash as well. mind you my jacket bore the blunt of it passing, reminded me of the scene from Ronnie the Two Ronnie's when he was twitching.

I hope you enjoy a more relaxing day Nigel, Diana that was nice to receive flowers, I was not allowed to give my mother cut flowers as she thought it was cruel and would rather see them out side. Tasha I cannot blame you for hating Dentists and I will agree it is the most scary place to have to go too.

well as soon as the sun dries out the lawn I will be giving the grass a cut then get some birds out in there cages and jet was a few cages that I have split up. I have to re fit the storage heater in the bird room (they are so heavy) Moved it from it original position and replacing the wire and trunking and moving the switch to a higher point along with the sockets.

Have a good day every one and wish all that are not well have a far better day today.

Shirly with all the stress you have had I can understand how it makes you fill like you have been punched in the face, Lacking sleep dose not help as well as Scooby calling out loud. Take thing easy today and try to gain a good rest, I hope the pains will ease soon. I think your son's will understand you not wanting to eat much and still make it a time that they can show there love for you. I do wish you will enjoy the day with them and wish you will fill much better than you do today, thinking of you on your road to full recovery xxx

    Good morning everyone

What a difference in the weather. I’m on a early shift at work today and took the opportunity to have a walk through the park on my break. Was a sizeable flock of ringnecks too. Hopefully the weather holds out till tomorrow so I can put the aviary to good use.

Hope everyone has a good day

@dianaT that was in St James’s Park. There’s supposed to be a bigger flock in Kensington Gardens so will have to check them out some time.

How wonderful Jack, they were not there when we lived in London over 22yrs ago, although a few sightings had been seen In Richmond Park of IRNs, but despite the park being on our doorstep so to speak we never saw any.

Mam is using deep heat on her back, it stinks, I assume this is bad for the parrots?

Deep Heat is made up of the following ingredients
    2.80%w/w menthol: 5.91%w/w, Eucalyptus Oil 1.97% w/w, Turpentine oil 1.47% w/w
Toxic if ingested but should be safe aroma wise as she's no doubt not sat next to them and they are able to head away from her? The only one that I would be umming about is the turpentine oil but that's at the lowest quantity in the product anyways so probably almost negligible.
If it was Tea Tree oil I would be running around the room screaming with my hair on fire as that one is a definite screaming add dab no go one!
