this is an Eastern rosella or otherwise known as a golden mantled Rosella. Mine flew from my home last year so I know how it fills too lose a bird to the wide world. My Peter was a free flyer in the past and knew how to survive and what to feed on in the wild but I stopped flying him when his partner passed away. if it is Peter he is micro chipped so I can prove ownership. is this bird just in your garden?

Hi, if you have Facebook the ladies name is at the top of the page Suzie Bruton Lye West Midlands.
Try and message her. I’ve asked her to try and entice the bird. She said her cat will kill it if it keeps coming back to the fence. The bird keeps coming back and landing in the cherry tree. I don’t know this lady I’ve just copied the link. She will be on in messenger or Facebook.
