Parrot bite

Unfortunately we had an accident, Bluey bit Blu’s feet/ nail, we stopped bleeding ( actually only one bleeding at the moment is my boyfriend, because Blu was very opinionated about towelling ) and poor Blu kind of calmed down, she doesn’t properly puts her weight on hurt feet but she stopped picking on it, friend of ours who used to be vet nurse will pop in first thing tomorrow morning after she finishes her shift, another friend will give me tomorrow F10 ointment and we might use it, rang vets and they said it’s kind of mine decision do we want to bring her in but they can easily accommodate appointment for her ,boyfriend is off till the end of the week so he will carefully watch her… we just put her to sleep ( tried travel cage, she didn’t like it so we let her sleep in her cage) is there anything particular we should watch for? Obviously if we see anything out of ordinary or more picking on the feet we will take her to vet immediately, got few pictures but not best one because I couldn’t take anything when we towelled her because she was very stressed and both of us were worried, she did stand on hand for moment on both feet. 3849DE21-1D2E-449E-84BC-BE60CBE62578.jpeg

Ooooo that's going to sting
Looks like the skin has been kind of scrubbed down hmmm like it was dragged out during the bite so the skin was kind of rolled down.
Looks like the bone is fine but soft tissue damaged. Toe is being used so not broken but nasty sore damage.
Wash the perches daily with diluted F10 liquid diluted to 1:250 dilution rate and leave the perch wet so that the foot gets the antiseptic liquid to the underside of the foot. A little in a spray bottle directed ONLY at the top of the foot will apply it to the wound to keep it clean without the need to towel your bird. Less stressful. That will heal but you will be surprised what dirty beaks birdies really have so stopping the nibbling is essential. That will heal ok let her be in her own cage doing her own thing she will know what she can tolerate and what she can't.

Hmmm think of yourself trapping your finger in a door and pulling it out really fast and the skin rolling down as you dragged it out that's basically what's going on there although bruised from the squash the open area always seems to make it look 100 times worse.

Thank you, she decided to land on side of Bluey cage…just Bluey was perching next to there where she landed… to be honest I don’t think Bluey likes other parrots, it was not working between her and other parrot in her previous home, but mostly it was other parrot going after her… for some reason in here she decided now is her turn to attack another… for a while now they don’t get time out of cages together, unless both of us are home, but at this point we will stop that too

Oh dear as mentioned it will heal, have had this happen in the past with various birds particularly Glossop and Boxer - 2 Sennies, now have to cover one cage while the other has time out. Blu will probably be tucking that foot up for a while.

One more time thank you both for advice, she seems more of herself today, she is just probably thinking humans went mad they spray top of my feet and my perches are wet and some random human came in the morning gave me huge piece of millet just to make me come to her so she can look on my feet… if she stays as she is we won’t be taking her to vet, she was totally herself today even stood on both feet little bit, ate plenty and had good fly around … she got nail trim booked in two weeks time anyway ( she allows us to file her nails little bit but still getting slowly used to idea of us messing around her precious feet)
