So I've joined this group due to painting my ferniture.
It was a lovely day yesterday and took all my living room ferniture into the garden and gave it all a once over with paint..
Now I didn't think paint would be any issue and then did some research which shown me I was wrong luckily I did it outside.
Now it's been outside for over 24hours.
It is High voc but quick dry.
It's been nice and warm too so was dry alot faster.
It's still outside I'm worried about bringing it in when is it safe for It to come back inside
I've read the toxins are in the drying process and with it now being dry is it safe to bring back inside.

you have done correct not bringing it back in to your home yet. it needs to be properly dry and not smell of any fresh paint

Hello and welcome,, what parrot or parrots do you have?

yes they can be like that :African_grey::African_grey::African_grey::African_grey::African_grey: I have five greys living with me, Reggie, Molly, Holly, Max and Mo, there is a lot of information in the home and environmental safety with our birds on this site, what is her name?

I will add though she is 9months old and hoping they have a baby naughty stage and one day she will stop screaming

I am lucky none of mine scream one used too but I ignored the scream and just started to whistle or say hello with out eye contact or going closer or even in the room. if Reggie said a word or whistled then I gave attention, you wait till they go through the terrible two's you have that still to come Ha Ha

Hello!
Although irrelevant to the original topic of painting haha, i also have a young grey. He is 8.5 months old.
He doesn't scream anymore for attention (just when he evil toys have touched him when he didn't want them to 😂) he used to scream when we left the room but due to where we live and working we didn't want this to be something which bothered the neighbours etc.

We started to leave the room and if he screamed didn't respond or return, but then if he made another noise we would return and praise or speak back to him.
It took a while and we haven't stopped screaming completely, like i say them poor toys get it but now when we leave the room Bo will whistle (or shout Laura if im gone too long) and when he is whistling we will speak to him etc, this is followed by him laughing when we come back into the room haha!
I love his personality, he knows he owns us completely!
