Over grooming

How do I help one of my linnies, Rosalie. Her partner has over groomed her head. I’ve had them both as a pair since 2021, and have stayed as a pair in the aviary. in breeding season she is always after attention and constantly shoving her head under her partners, Munroe. Which is possibly why she has been over groomed. She has laid eggs in the 2 years but always in fertile. I have recently read that same sex pairs in linnies can result in the over grooming But this has only happened this year. Any ideas?

I do have a bonded pair of male cockatiels one has lost his entire crest from over preening. I don't interfere with their decision it can cause great upset to them

Now that is very over groomed! Keep an eye out for any cracks in the skin don't want infection getting in.

Perhaps a little fresh aloe Vera (straight from the plant) to sooth and keep moist but remember every third spray misting must be pure water to rinse it away
