Ollie is asking if you're calling him fat? 😜 :risas3:

His foster told me they thought he was female as he was smaller than their other grey.

It must be massive then!!!!!

My two Grey's that are related are big hens in stature Denarri is the younger by one year and she's flipping massive for a hen
Cock birds are usually bigger and heavier than the hens.

Maybe he is male then 🤔 his diet is relatively good. He gets 2 bowls of fresh and then pellet or if he hasnt eaten a lot that day because hes fussy sometimes ill give him a little seed. Hes improved a fair bit in terms of eating vegetables

Sometimes the forum insists that you type the @ and sometimes it doesn't e.g. to tag someone in a public message you need the @ but for PMs, you don't. I just tried it for PM and it seemed to work. Did you select the recipient from the drop-down list? It might not work if you just type the name out as the forum may wrap the name in hidden control characters when it is selected from the list.

My little Opaline is weighing 274g at 12 weeks. Is that good or bad? This was a morning weight before anything was eaten x

I have an orange winged amazon whos about 16 weeks and weighing practically the same i think its ok as roughly what mines weighing an the vet said hes weight was fine.

have a look at Scott E McDonald (usa avian vet) he has a brilliant weight chart that he's done going by birds he's had in his practice from the lightest to the heaviest of each species and worked out the mean weights going over about 100 visits per species it gives you a far better picture as to what the weights should fall between. HOWEVER you always have to remember that weight is relevant to size of bird my DYH is a massive cock bird and other cock birds of the same species a tiny in comparison to him an he tops the scales towards the highest point in Scotts document but he's still within the range and he's still not classed as over weight
Its the last document on this link http://www.scottemcdonald.com/articles.html
