My breeder didnt ring properly either , I think you just need proof that she was not wild caught for legal stuff but others may know - I had a hatch certificate but not much info including an actual hatch date! There are mixed views on chipping some folks get worried the chip could move -I haven't really studied the options yet so don't have a firm view. Is Poppy DNA sexed , I'm not sure about Zebedee I just went with the breeders advise that he thought it was a boy.

I was given an exotic direct 30 day cover not. and a parrot birth certificate. Care sheet with a list of poisons and the details of an avian vet. and the pet shop owners personal phone number with encouragement to ring anytime

Where's Paperlace gone :shok:

HI Tina  chipping could be an option if she has no ring, although it does normally involve being put to sleep..

she has not been DNA tested but we are not bothered about knowing unless there is good reason

ah right - well you have a certificate I think thats the main thing. I'm not up on the ins and outs of chipping but a good avain vet should tell you what's best to do.

Just out of interest which vet have they given you details of? xx

Lol, well the only ring you could put on now would be a split ring, the closed rings are put on as babies..

well what an experience!! she is sitting on my shoulder while i type. I had trouble getting her out of the cage because of how i had set it up but once that was sorted she stepped up OK but just used me to climb to the top of the cage. I used pomegranate seeds as a treat

. I think she is grooming me because she is nibbling my hair. she seems happy and definitely is not stressed just sitting enjoying the view

I think i need to make a leather wrist band cos her claws are really sharp.

thats great news. While she is still a baby its worth getting in the habbit of giving her nails a quick file down every now and then with a normal nail file - this should stop them hurting as much. Obviously don't do to much but just enough to take the sharpness off.

Really pleased for you xx
