Please excuse my lack of knowledge, Would this be a suitable cage for a mealy amazon. I can collect no problem.

    Thanks Tracey

Personally I do not think it would be big enough for an Amazon but then it depends on how much they are out of the cage each day. My Amazons only have small ones as they are never shut in, Dusky Grey has his aviary.

It is a nice cage and I would certainly be interested but am afraid it is too far away.

Hi @Latindancer welcome to the forum and thank you for your interest in my cage.

I would have said it would be a little small for a big Amazon like the Mealy...but it depends really on how much time your bird spends in his cage and how much time out playing, etc. We usually say that a bird should be able to have sufficient space to fully open both wings, and to get the largest/best cage you can afford.

Do you know what type/size cage he or she has been using? Maybe it would be OK whilst you and your new bird get settled and develop your routine?

I had this cage for my Blue Crowned Conure and he was quite happy and able to climb around a lot. But if your bird has lots of hanging toys then again that restrict things rather.

If you want to get in touch further, just post back and I can then enable PM messaging on your account.

Hi Tomsmum I've been looking out for one of these cages, I have an amazon (holly) and 2 cockatiels, but as soon as they come out they go straight into hollys cage which i believe is the same as the one your selling, if the Latin-dancer doesn't want it I'm sure my two cockatiels will love it.
    Kind regards

Hi @Steve Bennett thank you for your interest in my cage....
I am waiting to hear back from LatinDancer.

I would be a bit concerned about the 2cm bar spacing with cockatiels.... let me tag in some tiel experienced members to check out their thoughts, as 8 wouldn’t want any legs or heads getting stuck... @CaptainHowdy @Stinkie @sunnyring

2cm is too much for cockatiels.
