Non Toxic Pans

I've seen a few threads on here re non stick/teflon pans etc.

Found this site earlier who have a range of all natural and non chemical pots and pans which might help.

We got some today listed as 'non stick' but chemical free so emailed them and they confirmed they are PTFE and PFOA free.

Obviously can't say they all are but they responded quite quickly when I checked with them.

They're a retailer not a manufacturer and a lot of their pans are not suitable
The threads on forum are discussing the dangers and some investigating suitable or not - specific brands of pans.

Yes, sorry they are a retailer but they have a selection which are chemical free (which they state in their descriptions) . I did also point out I can't say they all were but that they reply quickly for anyone to check first.

I'd been worried about the pans we had and found this site (and retailer) very helpful. Particularly after seeing comments from people saying they had spoke to other retailers who could not say if their items were chemical free or not.

I've been lucky enough to have been given a set of le creuset saucepans in the 1970s, and have 2 le creuset casseroles from the same era, all still going strong although so very heavy I rarely use the biggest pot.
On a similar note Pyrex dishes and baking trays are good and the "good housekeeping" range does ceramic bakeware.

I would be wary of what any retailer states as chemical-free. They often get confused!
Most non-stick coatings contain PTFE, including ceramic, stone and granite ones. Unless the manufacturer info (not the retailer or seller's info!) says PTFE free (not PTFA free as some do!), the chances are that the coating contains PTFE.
PFOA was banned from 2015 so anything new is PFOA free and some retailers/sellers misleadingly use "PFOA-free" as a marketing tool.
