Received an email stating that the new regulations and ports of entry airport and sea for Cites birds will change as of 1st January 2021
Please ensure you are aware of this information and who you have to present your cites paperwork to.

End of Transition Period Guidance:

Trading CITES-listed specimens through UK ports and airports from 1 January 2021

Applications for permits to move specimens between GB and EU can be submitted now. We are only able to issue and print your permits once the changes in UK legislation come into force at 23.00 on 31st December 2020.

Making arrangements to ship or sell your possessions:
We advise you not to make commitments to ship CITES specimens or arrange sales until permits/certificates are granted and are in your possession.

As the applicant it is your responsibility to supply all the information required to process your application – failure to do so could result in further delays in processing or refusal. The application form is a signed legal declaration by you that the information you have given is correct.
