I am confused with Bluey, not sure what she is up to…she is moulting at the moment so she is a bit louder, perfectly understandable but also she keeps following me around or if I am sitting on the sofa she wants to sit on me or with me, kind of cute but she bites, I can’t figure out why… she comes to me, makes funny noises and behaves like she wants some attention then when she gets attention she bites, she doesn’t get attention she also bites, she did want to sit on my shoulder today but I didn’t let her, she doesn’t necessarily bites my hand or bare skin, she bites anywhere so today I’ve got bitten on my leg through trousers 5 minutes later I’ve got bitten on my belly through T-shirt, moved myself away from sofa and went to sit on the armchair next thing she does is following me and yes she bites me again, tried to redirect her into some other things but apparently nothing is so great as following me around and then bitting, is she just being Miss Grumpy because she is moulting? She always has been bit of Miss Grumpy but I’ve never been targeted so badly, looks like within one hour I’ve got bitten around 10 times at least, when I think about it, this behaviour has been going on for awhile and I was ignoring it and now she is escalating because looks like whatever is the message I didn’t get it so she needs to hammer it down

Quincy, my very friendly cockatiel, often bites me on the ear, neck and arm. I have decided that she does this to get "scritches" from me. "I will keep biting you until I get scritches", effectively. I have to ry to ensure that there are no scritches when there has been biting.

I don't know how or if this relates to Bluey's behaviour, more informed opinions will no doubt follow. It does seem like attention-seeking behaviour to me and you'll need to work out what attention she wants, so that you can provide it when she behaves and withdraw it when she bites.

That did go through my head to be honest… but this week she behaved similar even when he was home but I think she’s done maybe once or twice so I didn’t really pay too much attention to it

There is no logic here 🤣even humans in this household lost the plot long time ago… that’s why we have 2 parrots not just one🤣

I would think uber grumpy you get blame for itchy annoying pin feathers coming through.
Henni has in the last couple of weeks due to moulting taken to preening my neck of arm of any bit of skin she can yet too ever so gentle then WHAM bite then gets uber grumpy if I move away or try to stop her. I am covered in little tiny nip marks and scabs were she's drawn blood makes me look like I have a horrible skin condition!

Dora never ever bites my husband, she went through a weird phase a couple of weeks ago that left my right arm with 2 big scabs and massive bruises. She is currently in a poke mood where she doesn't bite but lunges and poke me with a closed beak. Who knows what she is trying to tell me.

I had this kinda thing with Lou as a precursor to getting bad bites. There is a message there! Is the bf nearby? I cannot sit/be with hubby when Lou and he are having their time. She warned me with clothes biting, making holes and I didn't get the message, so it became worse. Other than that I wonder if hormones are the culprit, hate to say it. Is she demanding the kinda attention we dont give; the wrong strokes etc. See if you can glean anymore info hun? Oh don't forget to spray her re the feathers and provide some new interesting toys to play with you if necessary.
