My cockatiel get hair dye on her

I have just dyed my hair with a bright coloured temporary dye (brand is crazy colour) and yesterday after getting out of shower my bird landed on my head. Normal this wouldn't happen as if I'm not in my room with her the cage is locked but it seems she's figured out how to open it and as soon as I opened the door to my room she was on my head. I have fixed the door so she can't unlock it again but the problem is she has blue on her feet and stomach from my hair. I've had her for two years at this point and she is 3 years old but will not let me handle her in anyway unless she wants to sit with me. As soon as I go to handle her she hisses and flys off back to her cage so is there anyway I can clean this off her without the stress me handling her. She is my first bird and is my everything so please be kind in your advice and comments.

That has to come off ASAP
If ingested by your bird it could kill it plus if on the skin like the feet it could be burning. If you can't do it by washing it off go to the vets immediately but since it happened yesterday any damage its doing will already be underway
Catch your bird and wash it off with warm water as Diana said, if you have to use a t-towel to do so then so be it

I cannot advise on this but your tiel is beautiful and looks just like my Coco :)

If anyone wants to criticise you for this complete accident, I suggest they first have a pop at me for recently letting my lovely budgie Mr Hibs fly into the toilet, requiring very swift rescue. (He was fine.)

Point is, these things can happen to anyone :)

My post crossed with yours, DB, no one had replied when I started my post. I don't believe anyone has been, or would be, critical here. Only helpful.

I looked into hair dyes quickly.
Permanent dye and some semi-permanent dye could potentially be bad news indeed for a bird.
Temporary dye is a less serious proposition but I agree with your suggested course of action, for caution's sake.
