Hello everybody!
The day i have worried about since getting Bo is fast approaching, i work shifts and usually Bo will be alone twice per week from 6am-5pm. Tomorrow and the day after Bo is home alone (with my other parrot) whilst me and my boyfriend work the day shift.
Bo is in a routine and goes to bed between 20:30/21:00 and wakes up at the same time the following morning, my mum has agreed to come on and wake both birds up at 9am then give them their fresh fruit/veg so really Bo will only be alone for around 7 hours.
I have a radio i put on when im not in the house and Bo is not scared of new things (surprisingly) so tonight im going to rotate his toys so he has a fresh set to get his beak into. The foraging toys have not arrived and not due until Friday, but by then my shifts are in the afternoon and my boyfriend will be home.
Just wondering how people entertain their parrots when they're alone? My little guy Alfie has never cared and just enjoyed time when i was home but i think Bo will be bored, im worried about that boredom kicking off plucking behaviour.
Any ideas are welcome! Thank you.
