Ladybirds galore

On Wednesday I made my first visit in many a long year to the Bempton RSPB reserve where I encountered rather a lot of ladybirds. I've read some people are saying our new Prime Minister will take us back to the 1970s, but I hadn't thought they meant the ladybird plague of 1976...

Wow I remember the invasion in the 70s, we took in laws to Beachy Head for the day along with our twins, you could not avoid walking on them it was really awful, but there was no choice.

I love ladybirds, I think their nymphs are the weirdest cutest things . We had loads of them over the last 2 years (nothing like your post lol!), and I'd go round moving the large spikies before they could cocoon so they weren't in a dangerous place for them.

I've never seen a white one! The ones we have are the orange and black ones. We tend to get loads of them on the timber at the bottom of the garden.
