Kakarikik Won't Talk At All

Hi all.
My little Kak got stuck behind a dresser overnight. I got her out the next morning & she looked very sorry for her self. She eats & drinks normally flys around the room & will come on the hand as usual but from that day, has not made a noise! Anyone know why this could be?
Thanks

Oh I do not know if I warned you of the strange places Kaks get, they are fast at going forwards but reverse is a no no, I have had to rescue mine from similar places. I would not worry too much as she is still a little shocked of the situation she got into, I am sure that she will find her voice in a day or two, I am pleased you was able to rescue her,

if she is eating and drinking and being active then my thoughts are was she looking to make a nest, my female kaks used to become quiet about three weeks before they found a place and laid,

Some of the strange places my Kaks have laid include under a chest of draws, in the writing desk drew that it got into by going under and in the back of the drew, under my bed and under a cabinet. this is another reason apart from needing to sleep during the day I always supply a nest box

Yes I have noticed my female's become quieter and seem to be thinking about other things when they get the need to find/make a nest. Hopfuly she's ok

Disappearing kakariki, the female may hide when she is about to lay, during this time you must try to find out were she has hidden in case she is stuck but try not to disturb her too much if it looks like a place she can get in and out of easy. if you do she may just try to find another safe place. each time she goes looking there is a chance that she will get stuck again,

She has not got a partner so leave them until she abandons them, if you take them away or disturbed her nest she will find a new place and lay more give extra calcium in her mix I prefer the powder type, boil an chicken egg mix it with the crushed shell

Thanks again Michael. yeah we only have her so if she has eggs we will leave them. And make sure she has some extra calcium.
