Quick update on the chick .... It has a gob like a ruddy fog horn. And its mahoosive!!!
Think maybe crossed with an ostrich or perhaps the way its eating a gannet?
Either way the parents are doing a brill job so just leaving them to it, their chick they can rear it :) Even with the temperature outside hitting some really shocking brain chilling lows and the daft hen not picking the best of times / places to sit an egg and rear the chick her and her mate are doing a sterling job.
So far have looked at it twice but not recently I don't need to I can tell it's ok with the way it yells when it want food. Even the cockatiels react when it starts yelling which is quite funny to see everybody going into panic mode especially when it's not even their chick :D

Your guess is as good as mine! No idea lol not looking until it decides its time to have a look out and I get to see it :) First time I saw it it was a lovely cute pink blind dinosaur the second time I looked it had fluffy under down and looked darkish in colour .... so perhaps green or pied like dad?!
Did post on here earlier to see if anybody could guess but its going to be what its going to be basically :) ... with a loud gob on it :risas3:

they were not nasty but v high energy & my aviary birds are a rather staid (lazy) lot so got increasingly fed up at having to dodge out of way of their kamikazi flights. I will say everyone was a lot slimmer & fitter when they were there though!

So as gigglers go ... today I got my feathered butt out in the sun :) Turns out I seem to be a cinnamon kakariki as I have grey claws on the end of these here whopping great big doofers that I haven't quite got the hang of yet. Dad is feeding me well and mum has eggs on her mind ... probably cos I turned out so fecking cute!! I have got a very cute bright yellow dot on the back of my neck which is three feathers that are like mums bright buttercup colouration.

No idea as to sex but tis a sweetie even if it is slightly puddled when it comes to looking at the aviary wall and pondering if to jump off the ledge or not! It'll learn mum and dad will teach it I a sure :)
Fancy a giggler then Essie? @Stinkie
