Jazz was a blue crowned conure, who i had since he was approx 15 years old, he was un tame ,

& scared of everyone-everything, with in a few days after getting him, he started to calm down he loved snuggling in my hoodies/coats etc and so i let him only when i was wearing them did he like them , i have pics of when i first got him and no way could you say he was tame although he was meant to be. But only 3days later he had learnt the step up command & would take food off me .

He died the other day aged approx 26yrs R.I.P Jazz ,he will be with the other blue crowns i have had now also called jazz. yeah i know but the name stuck & i myself thought it suited the blue crowns. These are only a few pics . i have loads more :)

when i got him he couldn't eat/drink or anything. apparently he was a hand reared bird then he was paired with a mate ,his mate died so instead of being left in the aviary he was dumped in the small cage you see in the pics with wire sticking out of it taped up doors, never cleaned out i don't think either food just put on food even though he had also poo's on it , the water was really bad and the bowls had to be checked when i got him home there was no soaking/scraping that would sort that out . the bloke said he bred parrots inc jazz yet his idea on their anatomy was nothing atall

Sarah I'm sure he had a wonderful, happy time with you and he realised what "love" was. He was very lucky to have found somebody as caring as you ((hugs))
