you are a brilliant carer for your flock and I am pleased to see the videos. I am pleased that you are trying to distract the plucking

Missy has come on leaps and bound since I've first got her. Our bond has grown stronger, she is a lot calmer, she will step up onto my finger a lot more now.

Target training has also come on leaps and bounds, now I'm getting her to turn around on the spot and working towards more advance training.

Her foraging pots has gone down well, now I'm fully covering her pots with paper as well as leaving some with just the beads and paper, but no food, so she has no idea what will be inside the pots.

I also didn't want to temp fate, she has a couple more fine growth on her tummy, last time I reported this, they went again overnight, this time, they are there for a few days now.

Even a pin feather in front of her legs have spouted a green feather (see pics below), and looks like another one is about to sprout on the other side.

Missy's has come far with her training and really loving it. However when I try and record her progress, she gets a bit camera shy. This is the latest one that I manage to film. She dose attack me in this, but this is unusual during training, but she did it because the camera was on her, she soon settles down.

By the way, here is the fresh fruit that I prepare for all our birds (12 in total) every other day

She must be loving the attention.

Missy latest training, She is really enjoying it. Been working months on the shape sorter, she is slowly getting there with it. She flew off at the end knowing that the big reward is the final.

I hid the camera this time as she is a bit camera shy.

    Enjoy.

you are doing brilliantly now the next stage is the hand signals. whist training with the stick always use a hand signal a bit like what you have been doing to make him turn in a circle. what the goal is will be to get him to do the tricks when you are not next to him.

  12. She's beautiful and doing so well!

Yes she is doing very well. Considering that when we first got her, she wouldn't even step up onto the hand even though she was tame, the previous owners were pet shop owners and she lived in the pet shop having the free roam of the shop, I presume that she probably got poked a lot by the customers. She is still not too keen on hands. The shape sorter is still a working progress, but I will move onto other things once she has got that mastered. I don't want to push her too much too quickly. Not too long ago, I did try and do away with the stick, I slowly shortened the stick until it was eventually hidden in my hand, but she wouldn't have it, she wanted the stick. I will try and do away with the stick again sometime in the future, but only when she is ready.
