I'm wondering if my kakariki is OK as when it lands on my finger every so often it sits like horizontally and its wing drops a little?View attachment 33364p
keeps whimpering tho? Could it be laying an egg soon as it grabbed sheets of torn paper off me mams little coffee table? Or could it still be adjusting to my home as ive only had her 3 weeks and she still is only young?
when it first happened to me i got very worried, I thought there was something wrong with its eyes, and tried to book an appointment with spec savers Ha Ha
Our Kakariki (male) does this to my husband predominantly (and to me if I pretend to ignore him) so my daughter recons his name is very appropriate. He's called Rainbow

She sits with her bum sticking u[p and makes a low whimpering sound, like when a dog is hurt??? I think it is mating behavior tho as my male tries to mount her but she doesnt let him and flies away!!! Reckon they will ever get on???
