Indian Ring neck training

Hi I have had my ring neck Cody from 7months old. He is now 3 years old and still seems to be scared of me? He will step up on my hand to get out the cage but jump straight off. He also pants at me when I try to go near him sometimes. I’m at a loss what to do as I love him to bits but he just seems to hate me 🤦🏻‍♀️. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Hi no. He never has he never used to even step up on me. He just tried to bite a lot but he doesn’t really bite anymore he used his beak to climb onto my hand then jumps or flies straight off

ok you need to find a treat for him to chew bits off so he will stay on your hand for longer,
He loves Apple but have tried this and he will still jump off 😔 I think it might be something to do with him having access to food 24/7. Would it be a better idea to take the food out and feed him once a day after I have tried to give him a treat by hand?

Every birdies has something that they just can't resist its just a case of finding out what it is.
My Alfie an amazon would do anything for a cedar nut, MrP another of my amazons has a thing for dried banana chips at the moment, Henni a grey just loooooves a bit of a peanut, Tuppy another grey it's a pistachio in its shell and Denarii my other grey its a cashew …. no two of them have the same totally favourite thing its just a case of waiting until I found out what that thing is …. for me as a human well its chocolate … oh and cake … oh and better still chocolate cake!!! :p
