Lol about you eating the mung bean sprouts! Keep adding a few to Dora’s for bowl. You could try sprouting sunflower or safflower for her too. You could mix them with the mung.

Re the corn - I haven’t been able to sprout them for a few years, then I decided to buy a brand new fresh packet of popping corn from a vendor whose stuff usually sprouts for me, and hey presto!

I’ll try sprouting the older corn I have and see whether it’s the temperature or the corn. Even when I used to sprout corn regularly I found it difficult in the winter months.
I haven't had any luck with sprouting the corn @Roz even though the temperature was up in the 30s when I tried it.
Mung beans this week, but it's not the best of set ups with jars and I'm hoping for a "germoire" for my birthday present.😊

Great! Whatever works for you. 😊

I prefer to feed organic which is why I make up my own mixes. 🙂

Sorry to hear that Wendy. I tried sprouting some older popping corn I had left over from last year and the year before. No luck - zero sprouts. The packet I bought this year sprouts well. Perhaps they have to be ultra fresh?

We had a cold spell just recently and it was interesting to the number of corn sprouts was fewer and the tails smaller. Temperature really does seem to make a difference with corn.

Ooooh how exciting to get a germoire… maybe! You’ll have to post some pics. 😊
