They are both gorgeous!
Hi @Ozzys owner and welcome. I have two cockatoo's; a Rose Breasted and a Goffins. My Goffins is hard work re feeding her. She has more liking for some fruit than the RB2, orange, satsuma, plum, apple and melon goes down well. Veggies, well she eats sweetcorn out of the chop LOL. She also doesn't see tree nuts as anything at all and will not eat. Pellets were hit and miss and really needed to get her to eat and she took to Harrison's Mash. Would this work for you? Try crushing and mixing with water or Pom juice to see if it is liked this way?
Thank you, will definitely try that.....I guess it's hard to break a 15 year habit. However, we did succeed in sharing a banana last night! If I put it in his cage he threw it straight out but so long as i pretended to enjoy it so did he! Now that's a first for fruit, can't even interest him in pomegranate which most birds seem to love. Have tried crumbling Harrison's pellets over his seed but maybe he will try your suggestion out of a cup!! Will let you know....Thanks again
It's been a hard day lol
Awwww bless totally tired out! Snoozy times
On the fruit and veggie testing bit … I go some of mine to take home made smoothies and then make them lumpier and lumpier and if they get a chance to "steal" from my pretend plate apparently its tastes best even if they wouldn't like it if offered when taken without consent it's a different story
Oh yes, human food is always much tastier than parrot! Lumpy smoothies, what a good idea
