It's nice when people enjoy their birds without wanting to 'cuddle' them all the time. They really are fascinating to observe and get to know on their own terms. Someone I used to know said their Alexandrine really loved pine nuts / cedar nuts - they might be a good reward for him. I might be wrong but I think they might eat them in their wild habitat too.

Will pick some up mate thank you for the tip . Yeah I let him come out on his own free will wouldn't force him it's not fair. Hes perky as anything this morning
 
Cool. Northern Parrots do 'Jumbo Cedar Nuts' which always go down very well with my lot. They ain't cheap but they can be rationed...

Will have a look mate. Yeah I need something that he can't resist as a treat he loves apple but don't want to give him to much
