Just a little help please

Bert's on Harrison’s (as in post 77)
Pack says 15-30g per day, he emptied is bowl most days by 3/4pm on 25g so we’ve upped it to 30g and he still clears his bowl by 5/6pm and he just seems hungry, we check his cage often but nothing, maybe the odd half a pellet on the floor.

should I give him more ?

No do not increase the harrisons. you can give veg and some fruit so he has something in his bowl. this will keep a more balanced diet

Good to know that’s what I’ve been doing
He has 3 bowls, one with pellets, one with veg and one with sprouted, but he just won’t touch the other two, if I mix them he won’t touch any of it, if I put veg or sprouts with his pellets he won’t go near that bowl.

he has a few grapes a day and a bit of apple but that’s all the fruit he will eat, I put a slice of papaya in yesterday’s dinner it freaked him out.

he does get nutriberry’s as well 2/3 in the evening.

Don't give up on the fruit and vegetables you offer, he might surprise you one day! Or might eat it when he thinks he is pinching it from you!

Hi all slowly finding out how to get him to eat veg, do not cut, he likes to have the whole thing, cut broccoli won’t touch, give him a bunch, happily eats most of it 🤔 Same with carrots, won’t eat from bowl has to be hand fed 🙄

anyway knowing the above, bell peppers? Can he eat all of it, seeds and all ??

also got the below, ok for him to have a whole one ? 5BF9462A-1FAB-4193-ABC0-62E16796BE87.jpegFF981AAB-5C4A-4DB6-871A-1BCF7EDEBB10.jpeg

yes I never cut them as your bird will need to forage to get to the seed, one word of warning never kiss your bird or you will end up with hot lips and always check your shoes in case your bird has dropped a piece of the skin in it, both things have happened to me and the pain in my feet was terrible

I have just been shopping with a view to making up some chop. Eddie has resisted everything apart from banana so far! Have bought quinoa, kale, broccoli, carrots, chillies and thought I would give it a go! Let me know how you get on Scott!

Lol, good point, now I have images of you hopping around with a chilli tie burning 😂😂😂

Will do

yes I had a King parrot called Flash and just loved storing the skin in my shoes and slippers, it was no fun as by the time it started to work it wonders I was often out side or at work. very painful I can assure you

Another one please.
I’m 90% sure this is a normal loss but I’d just like confirmation please.

Bert pulled/lost this feather today, is it ok and a normal moult type thing or should I be concerned ??
