Hello

Thank you Michael. We are used to earthquakes Here though. I come from kefallonia, an island who completely crashed in the 50s.
Later on we continue having some shaking but on 1999 was a big one near Athens. People died, buildings collapsed and most of the rest had serious damages. I remember us all sleeping at the cars and tents [emoji554]️ we had set for days..we always have some but not dangerous one. And we all deep inside in a way expect the “unexpected”
This beauty here, Nature trades it with this price i guess
Your pairs when do not sleep together Michael, who is the one who leaves and sets to somewhere else? The hen or the cock bird?

the hen with Reggie and Molly, the Male with Max and Mo, Reggie will always stay at night by his nest box while Molly some times visits Holly for the night, Mo love to be buy her cage and only leaves it when she is on me, Max will go to other cages and mix with the other birds that are not greys. they always go back to their partners and feed each other after a night away. I love the way they great each other

@Michael Reynolds I feel you. Absolutely. Is such a nice view we get watching them feeding [emoji14][emoji14][emoji14][emoji14]. What about mutual preening?I stop breathing, I stop closing my eyes, my lips are shut [emoji3526][emoji3526][emoji3526][emoji3526][emoji3526][emoji854][emoji854][emoji854]. And this just happens when I’m there sitting right next to them :)
@DizzyBlue hahahha she either snores or her feet are smelly maybe? Hahahha he is the one who leaves the bed every now or then but have to mention he always returns. She must be really compelling as being a female [emoji39][emoji39][emoji39][emoji39][emoji854][emoji854][emoji854][emoji854]
@Oli Fry is an interesting set you have there :) would love love to watch them interact. A video maybe? [emoji39][emoji39]
Down here my little princes gets to decide everything, choose anything, feed always first but he is the one who leaves the bed and spend some time on his own, without her snoring or her smelly feet [emoji1][emoji1][emoji1][emoji1][emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787]

Haha! And who can blame him? I will attempt to upload a video later, but they really only pay each other any attention when they can't see me. I did see Grumpy preening Clayton recently - I'd never observed that before as usually he does all the work.

@Oli Fry Please do upload :)
If this can be helpful, I need to mention that I used to have the same problem. me being around them, but noticed that if I sit really close to them and stay there for a while, they get to relax loose their interest and interact with each other. My little princess wants me to either leave or sit close so she can behave normal. If I get to lay at the sofa which is some meters away from their cage she gets demonized she keeps calling me and doing whatever she can to get my attention and get there. But if I sit there beside them she gets satisfied and interacts with our man :)

It's the same with mine. I have to sit there for hours though....I think things are changing a bit now though. They seem closer. Your birds look very happy by the way.

Thank you so much :) Have been through some adventures though but have had so much help from this forum and trying to apply wise suggestions :)
I want them to be fully bonded and I’m not sure whether they are yet or not. But Yet there are steps to happiness I guess and Patience is the key word as @DizzyBlue would surely say :) and by showing patience we live and observe those necessary steps :)
Their world is magical though :)

Goodmorning forum....
I served their greens earlier in the morning and took some time to see them interacting. Set the cam on and got inside the house hidden. In those vids I saw Marcus trying to chew as many greens he can. But he was in a hurry cause our girl would stop eating st the bowls and go there and take over. She left him for a while and slowly then got there climbing and asked him to leave. And he did. She allowed him one more time to go and chew. The third one though which I did not record, she didn’t climb up there. The moment he got there she flapped her wings she reached the swing and attacked him instantly and both fell down.... it was so disappointing frankly :(. Why is she treating him like that? He feeds her he preens her, he likes her so much and she likes him too...I know she does. She also preens him (when he preens her) Why would she attack him?
any interpretation? And he just steps back..no fighting, he doesn’t want to harm her [emoji848][emoji848][emoji848][emoji848][emoji848][emoji848][emoji848]

Is this something like dominance? When they are In their private room Marcus is dominant in there too but doesn’t attack her . He just shows her her limits in there and tries to get her inside the nestbox.... im confused a little bit [emoji848][emoji848][emoji848][emoji848]

the female is showing him her dominant position and if he wants her he has to let her be in charge, my females are the same with there partners its not a dislike but more you do what I say or I will put you in your place. don't worry they make up after, if the male was hungry he would most likely of stood his ground. Mo gets extremely jealous if Max comes to me for a tickle, She will push him away until I cuddle her, if I don't give her a cuddle or scratch she will keep having a go at Max, the only way I can keep the peace is by scratching both at the same time

Goodmorning forum
i was watching my two birdies slowly interacting with the nest box again and took some time looking at my litle princess wearing all her feathers on :):):)

Early in the morning I get up and serve their first meal... I’ve added some branches to their cage two weeks now. My little princess almost immediately (2 days later) chose a spot she likes and Marcus also chose one :)
I’ve also hugged this thing in which I can add
Some fruits and vegetables :)
Goodmorning forum :)

There has been some tension with this upper perch from The moment I added this thing hugged with Fruits or corn or anything actually.
Although my little princess has already chosen another lower spot at those new perches I added, she attacked this poor boy.
Didn’t record it it was an instant attack she threw him down to the ground. But he is not giving up. As Michael said previously though, he really likes that perch and this whole situation there and he is kinda stands for his ground he doesn’t hurt her but he is not backing off.. he keeps going there and uses his body to push her away.

From day 2 I installed those perches they both chose spots..our boy actually decided to leave their “bed” and sleep up there. After two nights passed sleeping apart from each other, she decided that she’s gonna join this new “bed” too. So now they both sleep up there. And hopefully the tension will fly away. I can already watch her keeping in mind that our boy is very fond of this spot :)
